(Re)discover baroque Germany's favorite composer, Georg Philipp Telemann (1681-1667), through ear-opening performances by Philadelphia's Premier Baroque Orchestra Tempesta di Mare. Fire & Invention includes two grand, pull-out-all-the-stops concertos for orchestra, and the modern premiere of six new-found entr'acts by Telemann, all written for the finest band of his day, the Dresden Hofkapelle (now the Dresden State Orchestra), and collected by its concertmaster, Telemann's close friend and virtuoso violinist, Johann Georg Pisendel.
